Classics graduate and self taught guitarist, Hannah Ashcroft is an inimitable indie/folk musician based in Manchester.
With influences ranging from John Martyn to St Vincent, she effortlessly blends her unique guitar style with lyrics inspired by the likes of Roman poet Ovid and Japanese novelist Murakami.
Her music has attracted the attention of Mary Anne Hobbs and Tom Robinson on BBC6 Music and last year she was among seven women selected to collaborate with Mercury nominated artist Beth Orton.
From desert roadhouses to boutique festivals, she has toured and busked her way across the UK, Europe and Australia and has since performed at Walton Folk Festival, Manchester International Festival and Dot to Dot Festival.
“The Manchester music scene is richer for her presence”
